Patrick Parenteau is a multidisciplinary artist with more than 20 years of experience in digital creation, as an artist, team leader and supervisor in the video game, film and television industry.
He started his career in the digital industry by working at Softimage as a QA tester for Softimage 3D and Particles. He was selected go to Seattle to be the demo artist at the official lauch of Softimage on Microsoft Windows. That experience sparked an interest in traveling and kept the idea in mind to become a freelance artist and travel the world with contract work. His passion for travel took him to many countries with a few mentionned in the photography section of this site. He went on to work on many contract including commercial work in the United States and in Hokkaido, Japan. He permanently moved to Vancouver to work on a series of animated TV series such as Reboot, Transformers Beast Wars, War Planet, Action Man, Max Steel. After 4 years he decided to go back home to be with his family and to share what he had learned abroad.
He holds a Master of Arts from the University of Quebec at Chicoutimi, a professional diploma in 3D animation and a college diploma in industrial design. In his free time, he continues his training in piloting UAV drone.
In 2015 he was accepted into the association of the Visual Effects Society (VES) and became a board member and secretary in 2017 for a 2 year mandate.
